Australian meatworks drum salted sheep skins are head trimmed, pressed and packed on to wooden pallets for export.
Skins are available with varying wool lengths, regular size 7 Sq Ft plus
averaging between 8 - 8.5 Sq Ft , wool quality is generally offered basis 50's plus
however both finer and stronger types are available.
Individual offers will specify selection where applicable, a typical offering would consist of selection 70/20/10 1/11/111 or 80/20 1/11 grades.

Shorn Lamb Skins:

averaging between 7.5 - 8.25 Sq Ft or jumbo size 8 Sq Ft plus averaging
approx 9 Sq Ft, wool quality is Good/Super and generally offered basis 50's plus
however both finer and stronger types are available. Individual offers will specify selection and seed content where applicable, a typical offering would consist of selection 80/20 1/11 grades with only some minimal rib in the necks and the skins being free of visible seed in the raw condition.

either regular size 6.5 Sq Ft plus averaging between 7.0 - 7.5 Sq Ft or jumbo
size 8 Sq Ft plus averaging 8.5 - 9.5 Sq Ft, wool quality is Good/Super and
generally offered basis 50's plus however finer types are also available. A typical offering would consist of selection 90/10 1/11 grades.

Sound Skins
Good shape, free from deep flay marks and knife cuts, free from visible seed.
May include light rib, particularly in the neck area.
Seconds
May include light rib and skins with occasional neck and/or flank cuts and/or faults. Skins may show some light seed in the belly region. Otherwise free or practically free of seed.
Third Grade
Skins may have cuts, medium rib, light to medium seed or be misshapen - however the prime area is given to be free of serious defects.
Damaged
Pelts showing heavy rib and/or seed damage and/or misshapen or otherwise damaged. All extremely badly damaged or inferior pelts are excluded.
